I've been slaving away for over twelve years in graphic design, with eight of those in Web site design and development. I also have skills in branding, art direction, photography and creative concepting for projects in both print and Internet media. In the past five years my projects have been developed using skills that make web sites 508 compliant for persons with disabilities.
Along with that I've wasted much of my free time building modified cars and motorcycles. I'm really good at losing money at this and changing my mind 38 different times before I actually accomplish something. I've worked on everything from USAC Midgets to Honda drag cars to Minitrucks. I've also owned everything from a Civic to a Commanche to a Barracuda to a 929RR. If it has wheels I probably think I can make it into something it should not be made into.

Freelance – Photographer
Justin has produced images for model portfolios, automobile racing teams, custom motorcycle manufacturers, corporate communications, weddings, children
and family events. All of his work is completely digital and currently uses a Canon 30D while
doing post-production in Photoshop CS3.
Freelance – Web Designer
While working full-time as a web designer for large companies Justin has also built web sites
for smaller-scale businesses. Most of these sites have been built using static HTML/CSS,
but a couple of them have e-commerce solutions for web sales. Working with smaller companies requires
more client attention and teaching so that they better understand what their money buys for them.
These companies range from the motorsports, construction, medical and custom motorcycle industries.
Additional responsibilities for these companies were brand strategy, product development and search
engine optimization.
Anacore – Project Manager and UI Designer
Anacore, Inc. is an Indianapolis-based multimedia company that specializes in Flash and Flex development along with video and traditional web site development. Justin's responsibilities are to coordinate project timelines and progress between the Anacore team and clients to make sure that expectations are met successfully. Justin also brings with him his experience as an interactive user interface designer and quality control expert to ensure that all Anacore projects are delivered to the highest quality.
Clarian Health – Art Director
Clarian Health has a Web Team that builds and maintains all Internet and Intranet products
it owns. Justin's role in the Web Team was primarily as a Web Designer and Web Developer
to build new site templates and modify existing JSP pages from dated table-based HTML to standards-based
HTML/CSS. Since Clarian also started producing podcasts, video production skills were also utilized
with HD cameras and Final Cut Pro.
Fusion Alliance – Art Director
Working with clients such as Eli Lilly and Company, Roche Diagnostics, Weaver Popcorn, Carrier/UTC
and Liberty Mutual Insurance Justin was responsible for front-end development in a range
of projects. Although web design and information architecture was a primary focus for the position,
Justin also took the initiative to proactively assist Business Development and Marketing with brand
awareness instruction and serving on a number of steering committees. GUI design, information architecture,
print design, logotype development, user testing, brand development and business development
documentation were daily activities performed.
marchFIRST/Whittman-Hart – Web Designer
marchFIRST was an interactive consulting company that catered to Internet companies that
were up-and-coming during the boom. Justin was trained as a GUI designer responsible for
the design and organization of web sites and web applications for companies such as Aearo Company/EAR,
Caterpillar, Bindley Western and several start-up companies involved in broadband multimedia. Tasks
such as graphic design, information architecture, user testing and copy writing were required at
marchFIRST.
Freelance – Print Designer
Justin designed print brochures for Technology Equipment distributors and Y2K consulting
firms. Duties from design to concepting to client approval to print production were done
on a daily basis.
